So much so that its intricacies and permutations warrant closer examination for those who are eager to diversify into the commercial market. Experienced commercial investor Mark Kirkland returns to APIA to unpack the various aspects of funding and deal structuring. Mark is a director of K3 Consulting, Accounting & Legal.  Mark commenced his career with Westpac Bank as in house counsel in the corporate and treasury unit in Wellington, after which he managed the lower North Island portfolio of properties for Robt. Jones Investments. After returning to Otago and working as a barrister in the commercial and property dispute arena, he established Kirkland Lawyers in 1995. Mark made the move to Auckland in 2005 and worked for Kensington Swan as a consultant. Mark practices in the areas of civil litigation, insolvency and commercial law. He continues to represent clients in complicated matrimonial property disputes. Mark is a very experienced communicator, negotiator, leader and team builder.
