There have been several recent and upcoming changes to the property industry that can significantly impact the way you invest in properties- ring-fencing, Healthy Home, Capital Gains Tax to name only a few. Come along to this session to get an overview of where every one of these hot-button issues is at, which is actually eventuating and what is still up in the air. 

This session is hosted by Peter Lewis who serves as Vice President for both the APIA and the NZPIF. Peter will give a summary update of NZPIF's activities, its policy objectives, lobbying priority and share best practice suggestions to broaden your horizon and give better clarity on how to make good decisions going forward. 

We will also be joined by Kevan Hunt and Stuart Duncan of The Insulation Warehouse Limited. Both Kevan and Stuart will talk about the newly announced Healthy Home Standards as pertaining to insulation, how they compare to Minimum Standards, price pressure and turn around time trends which will trickle down to affect your margins. 

If you are investing for the long term then you cannot afford to be blind to the environment within which you operate. It is one thing to know enough to make smart decisions; it is quite another to piece these decisions together so that, incrementally, they deliver you the end outcome you desire. Understanding the market context as well as current socio-political trends puts you firmly in control of your investment journey.
