Recently, as a neighbour of an irresponsible landlord, I contacted APIA seeking a referral to assist with possible remedies.

The response from APIA, and general information & referrals provided by those who APIA contacted on my behalf, was professional, helpful and timely. This has allowed me to esculate my concerns and be dealt with in an appropriate manner.

I wish to acknowledge APIA's part in assisting with this outcome.

There are many things to take care of when renting out property. On rare occasions a person can be lucky and everything runs smoothly. However, in many cases problems arise and these need attending to. Learning about rental property is like learning any other trade - there is a lot to it.

We realise a lot of other landlords have similar problems and experiences we have. The Apia Website is very thorough and covers many things a property investor needs to know. It is good to be able to read in the Forum of how they deal with problems when they arise and the advice shared by other members of Apia.

We have found the Apia meetings to be very helpful in learning about many of the aspects of property rental. We routinely attend the majority of the meetings, (no matter what the weather) including those out of our area. The meetings are friendly, infomative and user-friendly. We still regard ourselves as newcomings to this business, but feel we have learned a lot so far and are still learning.

We have gained far more benefit and knowledge from Apia than the cost of the membership. Our membership in Apia has been well worth it many times over.

I read two articles in the monthly magazine that saved me over $5,000.  That is my membership fee for the next 26 years and I am sure I will learn a whole lot more!
